As you may know, Oscar Grant is the young man who was shot in the back by a BART police officer. Amateur cell phone video of the shooting was all over the internet, and the officer has since been arrested and charged with murder. Now, a new video has emerged that shows police brutality actually occurred before Grant's fatal shooting. The new video shows another officer punching Grant in the face.
ColorofChange is all over this, and is calling for the DA to bring charges against the other officer for assault. So far, the DA has said he would not pursue charges. It took weeks for them to finally bring charges against Grant's murderer, and it looks as if it will take just as long to bring the assaulting officer to justice.
