Her time is up!!!
I am a firm supporter of women all over the world breaking the glass ceiling in every forum where we have yet to have representation, especially black women. With that being said, I really believe it is time for HRC to step down. She is starting to sound a little out of it. In the above clip, she really sounds like she is reaching for anything to justify not dropping out. She mad a poor historical reference to the assassination of Bobby Kennedy, and failed to link it to her argument of why she should not drop out of the race. What does his assassination have to do with her staying in or dropping out? Surely, she isn't suggesting Sen. Obama may get assassinated, so she should stay in the race b/c he won't be around much longer? Surely, that's not what she is saying. I've heard her "apology" and her explanation. However, both of her reasons, her husband, and Bobby, are historically inaccurate. Former Pres. Clinton virtually had the nomination all tied up by June '92 (He was not losing!!!), and Bobby Kennedy did not enter the Presidential race until March of '68, and there was not a nearly 6 month long tiring, drawn out fight b/t the 2 candidates. So if anything, she chose 2 poor choices of why she should stay in the race. And suggested Obama may be assassinated, or at best, another Rev. Wright, or a white drag-queen hooker with ties to Al-Quaeda may rear his/her ugly head.
I'm not sure who has been trying to puch her out since Iowa. The problem she is having is an ego and an arrogance problem. HRC and her campaign and her supporters thought they were going to come in and just wipe the floor with Edwards, and the unknown Obama would just fade in the wind. Not only is Obama still here, but he is beating her...he HAS beaten her. It is over, but she would rather grasp at straws instead of admitting defeat, admitting her arrogance, and dropping out of the race so we can get about our business of securing the White House for the Democratic Party.
